Server not found
I asked this question before when I had Firefox 4.0. I am still having the problem with Firefox 6.0
The first time I asked it nobody answered it.
Here is the question:
Server not found, then when I reload it is found
Every time I go to a website, Firefox immediately says "Server not found."
Then when I click "try again" the server is found. It seems like the system is timing out and not giving Firefox enough time to find the website.
Has anyone else experienced this problem constantly?
What can I do to correct this constant problem?

Security software (firewalls) can sometimes cause that problem by blocking or restricting Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you. This commonly happens after updating Firefox because the security software does not recognize the new version.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the programs permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to the internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

You need to update some plug-ins:
- Plug-in check: https://www-trunk.stage.mozilla.com/en-US/plugincheck/
- Adobe Shockwave for Director Netscape plug-in: Installing (or Updating) the Shockwave plugin with Firefox
I have McAfee. I would have no idea how to remove permissions. Furthermore I think it has something to do with the website timing out, so I just try again and it works.
All you need to do is click on "Firewalls" link that I posted above; there are 2 McAfee products then on that list, choose one and see if you can follow the instructions.
