this shows up when I hit my Google tab, or when I log in to Google directly
other sites/tabs are fine
how do I get rid of this site so I can use Google again?

If you are not on Windows then instead of Tools > Options use:
- Linux: Edit > Preferences
- Mac: Firefox > Preferences
- Windows: Firefox > Options or Tools > Options
