Trend-Micro NSC Firefox extension is incompatible with Firefox 10
When I open the add-ons screen for Firefox 10, I get a faded out message that Trend-Micro NSC Firefox extension is incompatible with Firefox 10. I've contacted Trend Micro about updates and they said that it would be a few weeks before they release an updated version. Why do you release and force updates when important extensions are not ready?

Apologies for the slow response.
Firefox is on a time based release cycle, every 6 weeks we release a new version (more or less a few days). There are over 6,000 extensions available for Firefox, almost all of them from third-party developers. When Firefox switched to a new release cycle back in the beginning of 2011, all of those extension developers we notified of the change and how it would impact them. Some of them choose not to mark their software as compatible until it work for them. If Firefox were to wait until even 80% of the extensions were marked as compatible, there would never be an update. The responsibility to update add-ons is on the extension developer. Unfortunately, some choose to wait :/
Now, all that said, Mozilla does want to ease the pain of upgrades, so there are lots of ways we are working to improve the update process. http://blog.mozilla.com/futurereleases/2012/02/03/improving-the-firefox-update-experience/ has some of the changes we have launched in the past few weeks.

I don't like the communication I am getting with Firefox I can't get an answer for my question no person to talk to
fithwheel2, what problems are you needing help with? you can always ask a new question and the community will try to assist you.
I get these updates about 2 or 3 times and when I start the update it wants me to remove my anti virus says it not compatible. I am not going to remove my anti virus so how do I stop the update massage.
fifthwheel2, is this an extension from your anti-virus? Please keep in mind that even if the extension isn't compatible with Firefox, your antivirus is still working to protect your computer.
What antivirus do you have? Have tried to contact them to see if they have an update?
fifthwheel2 is using AVG

Maybe best to continue the discussion in that thread.
