Videos don't play in Firefox anymore
I'm an avid user of Firefox since around 2008, It's my primary browser on this laptop which I've had for about 18 months.
About a month ago, videos randomly stopped playing, I have the latest browser, the most up to date adobe flash player, and have tried everything on this page http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/fix-common-audio-and-video-issues but still nothing plays, it just shows a blank screen on most videos and a play button on Youtube with no background
Please advise

You can check for problems caused by a recent Flash 11.3 update and possibly downgrade to Flash 11.2 or 10.3.
