I am running FF 19.0.2. Some, but not all, fonts on websites are appearing as jagged. Sometimes it happens when a page loads and sometimes it happens when I scroll up or down the page. There is no consistency as to when it happens or which websites it happens on. I can fix it by refreshing the page, but can it be fixed permanently?

Try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

  • Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"

Try to set the gfx.content.azure.enabled pref to false or if this didn't help disable Direct2D by setting the gfx.direct2d.disabled pref to true on the about:config page and leave hardware acceleration otherwise enabled.
