Why do I keep getting message saying Invalid hostname? How to sort this please NOW!!!!
Today when I insert a website address in toolbar I get the annoying message Invalid hostname. So what do I do please? This happens whether I prefix address with www or without any prefix.

That does sound annoying. Do your bookmarks still work, and links in pages? The problem is just with the address bar?
Where does the message appear, i.e., does an error page open instead of the expected page, or is there a pop-up dialog?
Does it make any difference if you disable your Ask toolbar? You can do that here:
