That's strange. Have you installed any add-ons? You can view and manage them from the menu:

menu > Add-ons

I have downloaded 4 apps. One was google and based on your question, I looked closer at the ads and they are from google ads. How can istop them?

Usually only "rogue" add-ons will display ads, but if you mean web apps from the Firefox marketplace, that's a new frontier... You might try disabling the four of them and testing one at a time to see which one is the culprit.

Has this been active for 4 months already??? I assume you are referring to the "self promotion" ads that Firefox has on the bottom of the screen seemingly at random. I run nightly with no addons and it's starting to get on my nerves. First they took away the ability to keep tabs open on the left side and now they are shamelessly self promoting the add on store with little popover ads at the very bottom of the screen. Please stop or let us turn that crap off!!

Hi Andir, this is in Nightly for Android? Smartphone or Tablet?

If it is in Nightly for desktop, could you start a new question. In order to reduce confusion, we're more sharply separating the categories within the forum.
