How can I reverse-sync my desktop from my smart phone?
NORTON 360 installed. Repair shop wiped the hard drive. Norton restore from backup failed. Lost approx 200 bookmarks on desktop, but still functional on smart phone. Can't bring up sync code on smart phone.

Sync doesn't work between devices, the Sync server is in the middle and that is where your data would be restored from.

hello dragmeupuhhuh, on your android phone go into the system's settings app & into accounts & synchronisation (might be worded slightly different on different android devices), go to firefox sync & tap on pair a device.
on your desktop go to firefox > options > sync > set up firefox sync > i have an account which will show you a 3x4 character code that you'll have to enter into your android device in order to complete the process.
Hi Philipp,
Thanks for responding to my question.
I have found the sync information on both of my devices, but I still have a question. It appears to me from the wording in the Firefox "Help" articles that a sync only travels in one direction. That is, from my desktop outbound to other devices. In this case the other device is my Android phone.
What I'm trying to accomplish is syncing my desktop (with no bookmarks) to my smart phone which has the bookmarks I need. What I'd like to avoid is having two devices with no bookmarks.
Am I understanding the process correctly? Does one device sync from another, or do they sync independently from information stored at Mozilla/Firefox?
