I tried to install the Evernote Clearly plug-in on my Mac. I got the message:

There is no application set to open the document "evernote_clearly-10.1.1.2-fx-3.xpi"

What can I do?

Did you try installing directly from the Add-ons site from within Firefox? Usually then Firefox will take responsibility for putting the XPI file in the correct location and opening it directly.
