When, I open firefox the options menu loads in the tool bar at the top of the screen, but is grayed out. Also, the main window does not open. I can access some options from the tool bar, but the browser window never opens. See screenshot - http://screencast.com/t/suM5Sso7keZ

Have you tried Firefox safe mode? It could be an extension reponsible. If not, you could try moving the profile to another location, such as the desktop and then starting up Firefox so that it has to make a new profile. See if that works. If so, it could be something in the profile that is damaged, such as the localstore.rdf file.
