When I'm on any other site, besides facebook, ads pop up and almost cover the whole page. What do I do to stop this?

I have pop up blocker enabled, but it isn't working. It's getting really frustrating and I don't want to use another browser because I really like this one.

Go to the Mozilla Add-ons Web Page {web link} (There’s a lot of good stuff here) and search for a good add / pop-up blocker.

There are no popup blockers at addons.mozilla.org since Firefox has had one built in since forever, however there is Ad block extensions.
