I have FF on my desktop & laptop Macs. Will FF Synch MERGE (desired) or OVERWRITE (definitely NOT desired!) my bookmarks & bm folders & sub-folders if I synch?

I have a Mac desktop and a Mac laptop. Both have Firefox with a very big directory of bookmarks organized into subject folder, sub-folders, & sub-sub-folders, etc. I've been trying to keep them matched manually, but it's a big job. Firefox Synch looks good but I have one HUGE concern that I need to get answered before I use it. If I start Synch on one of my computers is it going to overwrite my folder structure on the other computer? That would be BAD. Or will it properly MERGE them? That would be very good.... thanks anyone

HI diannetrussell, It would merge, however please be careful as it may not merge as desired. Folder structure is improving in the next version and is continuing to.

First make a back up of each profile then try it: Back up and restore information in Firefox profiles

One tip: make sure that they are in the same Main folder. For example: "Bookmarks Toolbar" or both in Bookmarks Menu.
