Hi guys,

I installed Firefox using the setup stub 38.0.5 and I still have the stub on my desktop. the problem is that I cannot delete or shred the stub. I can only put it in the recycle bin but no more. When I do try to delete or shred it my PC locks up/crashes. HELP!

Sounds more like a Windows issue, as long as Firefox works and is not crashing .

Thank you John99 for your speedy reply. My issue is now resolved. I could not delete or shred the stub as long as it was in my download folder, and my recycle bin. Once I moved it to my desktop, I was able to shred it. Thanks again.

You will have already discovered where your own downloads files are, and probably also noticed Firefox's option to open the containing folder of those files. The following article provides more detail and related information complete with screenshots:
