i wish to use internet download manager with firefox but its not digitally signed to mozilar, is there a way to still enable it ?

Load it on your system (with all browsers off), and see what happens.

Digital signing for extensions isn't applied to Firefox 40 - all you get is a warning message that a particular extension "could not be verified for use in Firefox. Proceed with caution." That won't keep a user from enabling the extension, if it happens to be disabled
