Firefox Stuck in Mozilla Crash Reporter Loop

When I launch Firefox, it briefly shows the Firefox window and then crashes and shows the Mozilla Crash Reporter. Attempting to restart (safe mode or otherwise) yields the same crash result and display of the Mozilla Crash Reporter.

I have uninstalled Firefox, cleaned up the "C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox" and "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox" directories, cleaned up my "%USERPROFILE%\AppData\*\Mozilla\Firefox" directory, and then reinstalled the latest version of Firefox, but Firefox still crashes.

Not sure how much of this is relevant, but here's some more info... Prior to this issue, i was able to successfully launch and use Firefox (v42). Recently I installed the Selenium IDE plugin, and all continued to work fine. Yesterday I attempted to use the Selenium Firefox WebDriver which automatically installs another plugin, and that's when Firefox stopped working for me.

Can someone analyze crash report bp-420d7755-3c9a-4e9b-8def-c75702160223 (https://crash-stats.mozilla.org/home/products/Firefox) to see if they can determine the cause of the issue and a solution? Thanks!

This looks like an incompatibility with your current version of WebSense. Could you review the potential solutions in the following thread and see whether any of them work for you: I have an issue with Firefox crashing even before it starts up.

My solution turned out to be a hybrid of this solution. Instead of creating an empty file qipcap.dll in the Firefox installation directory, I copied an existing, small DLL already in that directory, lgpllibs.dll, and named the copy qipcap.dll. That allowed Firefox to start without requiring me to dismiss the DLL error dialog each time.

Yes, it appears to be a WebSense issue. The technique in the thread you referenced allows me to manually get into Firefox, but since I am attempting to drive Firefox with the Selenium Firefox WebDriver, it isn't going to work for me. Each time Selenium runs a test case, it attempts to launch Firefox, but if I have to manually dismiss the DLL error dialog for each of the hundreds of automated test cases, that just ain't gonna fly.

Is there a blank DLL I can download that is valid but just doesn't implement anything?

I don't personally know anything about the DLL hack, I usually suggest using the ESR edition of Firefox (details in the other thread).
