Why does the Contacts list show vibrating in and out, on and off, on the left when I try to make a reply?

When I attempt to reply to an existing message, the Contacts list shows up, vibrating, on the left side of the reply window. It is vibrating on and off and will not allow me to add any text to the reply. This also happens when I am trying to create a new message.

It doesn't happen every time, but when it starts, I can't Reply to any message or create any new messages.

This has been happening recently both under Windows 7 and Windows 10 (I am a Windows 10 Insider tester, so I can 'bounce' between the two OSes).

Soluție aleasă

I suspect a hardware problem, yielding false triggers from your F9 key. I bet it doesn't happen on another computer.

You may well be right, Zenos and I'll try smacking the F9 key when it happens again to see if that cures it.

For now, I'll mark this as "Cured" and 'keep on truckin'.

THANKS!!
