If I use the "delete" button to move on to the next article in a thread, the deleted article is gone. Is there a switch somewhere to send "deleted" articles to the "deleted" folder instead, so that I can have second thoughts and go back for another read?

Thank you. So the thing I have been looking for doesn't exist - I shall stop wasting my time.

what mail provider are you using?

Sorry, I'm not talking about mail. I'm talking about usenet newsgroups, and the news server I use is eternal-september. Does this help?

As far as I am aware there is no deleted or trash for newsgroups. The original idea if NNTP did not really accommodate deleting.
