I have been using Thunderbird for a long time. I am now trying to migrate from my current Roadrunner email address to my gmail address. For the moment I want to receive email from both. Eventually, going just to the gmail address. I can't seem to find a way to add a second email address or even to change the one that I am using now. Thanks.

From the menu bar select File-New-Existing Mail Account

If using the AppMenu button select New Message-Existing Mail Account

At the top of your Thunderbird window you should have a menu bar. If not, go to the three-bar symbol at the top right, select Preferences, and enable it. On the menu bar there should be a File menu. Select 'new' and then select 'existing email account'. (I assume from your question that the Roadrunner account is already in Thunderbird and that the Gmail account exists but is not currently in Thunderbird.)

When I go to the three bar symbol, there is no "preferences" available. There is a "file", but then under that there is no "new".

Is it possible that I don't have the most current version of Thunderbird?

I repeat... If using the AppMenu button select New Message-Existing Mail Account
