I am downloading a 1.8G file.

The downloads with firefox either fail (right at the end) or they complete, but when I go to unzip, they fail with a CRC error.

If I download the same file with Chrome, it all works fine.

If I do a comparison, of the two file, they the same length, however in some bytes are different. I have attached the results of a file compare.

The Chrome file (which works) has 4D 44 hex, but the file the firefox has AA 31 This occurs a number of time in the file.

It seems, firefox is translating 4D 44 to AA 31

If I use Firefox 42.0 on a windows 7 machine, it works fine.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options)
key, and then starting Firefox. A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh).

Is the problem still there?
