each time I open firefox, and before I do anything, Little Snitch shows a request to a site I often visit.
When I open Firefox it sends a packet of some type to a site i visit from time to time. Little snitch stops the packet and asks if it want to deny or allow it. I can deny it temporarily, but if I am going to that site I need to allow it.
I have cleared the cookies that reference that site but it didn't do any good.
This only happens on Firefox. Safari does not have the same problem.
I have Mac OS, one version back.
If I can document where this is coming from I will present the facts to the organization involved.
Thanks, Dan

Hi Dan, what does Firefox display when it opens? Does the page have any tiles from your history?
Not sure if it's relevant, but this article has information on connections made at startup: How to stop Firefox from making automatic connections.
Thanks for your reply. Firefox starts on a blank page.
The request happens a few seconds after I open Firefox. I checked the prefetch option and it is turned off. Little Snitch tells me Firefox made the request, but that is all I can get from it. I looked in the directories that Firefox uses for preferences and I couldn't find anything with the exact text string that gets sent out.
I just changed from a blank home page to starting with Google as the home page. The request was still made. I have changed back to a blank startup page.
This is very annoying. Again, thanks for your help. Dan
