On Firefox for Android the status bar is white when on a regular non-private tab. This is okay, but for some devices with AMOLED screens having a white strip up top can cause a burn-in. If browsing thru a private tab the status bar is black. Is there a way to change the status bar to a darker color?

Hi

The best way to do this is to install a theme which will change the menu bar colour. This article will explain how to do this.

Hi, thanks for your reply. I've tried a couple of themes, but none seem to include styles for the status bar. Of the eight or so I installed, none worked...

Not the menu bar, the status bar. Installing themes, no matter how dark, doesn't fix this.
