When will F-Secure update Browsing Protection (it is listed as "legacy") for Firefox on a Mac
I am using Spectrum Security Suite and after Firefox update I get a box "Browser extension is missing" when I check my add ons it is listed as"legacy" and no replacement is available.
I like using Firefox but have to use Chrome because of the missing browser protection for Firefox.

This is your providers issue and not Firefox's as they have not included a update to for the new Extensions. The one the give is no longer supported by Firefox since Nov. 14th.
If this software is any good you do not need a browser addon as the firewall and A/V should protect you. This is what is effected : Browsing protection that blocks unsafe sites automatically. Firefox has this built in in conjunction with Google.
Contact your ISP. https://www.howtogeek.com/333230/why-firefox-had-to-kill-your-favorite-extension/
Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

Most of those "security" browser extensions provide features that are already built into Firefox, and don't really provide any additional protection for the user.
That said, Firefox isn't built in a vacuum. There is a 12 week build cycle where anyone can download and test the 2 "next" versions of Firefox as they are being created - to see if their add-on is compatible with the upcoming new release version of Firefox. And the calendar of updates is published close to a year in advance - https://wiki.mozilla.org/RapidRelease/Calendar - so no one should be caught by surprise if they are a professional.
So who's fault is it when a new version of Firefox is released and those superfluous add-ons weren't updated for the new version of Firefox? IMO, if F-Secure is going to "pad" their application with a Firefox add-on, it is up to them to have an update available on the day that Mozilla releases a new version of Firefox. The information is out there, they should at least make an attempt to have their "stuff" ready in time; or just stop providing add-ons if they don't take their responsibilities to their paying customers seriously.
