I'm not sure what you mean by "in the archive in TB" - my "Archives" folders are shown just like any other, with subject, date etc.
If you're using the Global Search, with its somewhat idiosyncratic display of its results, then the "open email as list" button may be helpful in that it shows the search results in a more conventional format.
When you have a normal list of messages, you can select which columns are shown. Either click the tiny square button (see picture) or right-click any of the existing column heading buttons, and you'll see a list where you can select which columns should be shown.
Thanks for your quick reply. I'm attaching a screen shot of my search results. I'd like to be able to sort the results by the email address of the sender but I don't see how to do that.
Click where it says "from". Click again to reverse the sorting order, i.e. A-Z or Z-A.
At the moment your results seem to be sorted according to "location" - see the little arrow?

Yes, I've done that. The 'from' field shows the name of the sender but not their email address, which is what I need.
thanks,
You may need to install an add-on that creates a column showing just the email address. I'll have to look it up.
Alas! Neither of the two add-ons I had in mind adds its extra columns to the search results window,
Thank you for checking!
If you use addon : 'Show Address Only' then enable the column header 'sender[@]'
This addon works well in general folder view, so works with Quick Filter bar. Perhaps you could get it to work for you in general Archive folder view.
Unfortunately, it is not operational in searches. It does not offer a column header in 'Find' > 'Search Messages' and Global search offers the column header but it is returning blank, so not working. If you save as a virtual folder eg: Saved Search, whilst you can select the column header it fails to populate.
