Why can't I see individual cookies websites have set in the manage data section anymore?

Prior to version 60.0 of Firefox if I wanted to I could surf to Options > Privacy & Security and click on Show Cookies button under the Cookies and Site Data section (or whatever the option/section was called in 57.0), a new window would pop up with a list of websites that have stored cookies in my browser, but then I could expand a website and see a list of exactly what cookies that website had stored.

This rather useful feature has apparently been removed from version 60.0 as now when one goes to Options > Privacy & Security and clicks on Managed Data under the Cookies and Site Data section, it still brings up a new window with a list of sites that have set cookies, but no longer allows you to see exactly what cookies a site has set, it just shows the website with no further clickable options.

How do I get this feature back? Or what menu option do I now have to use to see individual cookies, assuming it is still even possible?

Ah yes, I forgot about this stupid issue. Granted, the reason I forgot about it was because I actually switched to Waterfox three months ago. It's still Firefox but it's Firefox 56, so mildly less infuriating than latter releases, with the major plus being it hasn't got patronizing developers who think their software's userbase are morons.

Bye Mozilla!

There is a change in Firefox 60. I found this article about it: https://www.ghacks.net/2018/02/26/mozilla-removes-individual-cookie-management-in-firefox-60/

If you need this functionality right now, you can try one of these extensions:

I see. Well thank you for bringing that to my attention. So it would seem to me that in a nutshell, the developer "johannhof" thinks the majority of of FireFox users are stupid (based on research) and therefore such a feature is not needed.

My applause to you Mozilla; one step forwards two steps back again as usual and now I have to use third party tools to do something basic that was in the original program for over a decade. Brilliant.

Could not agree more!

Hi Archnemesis, there is a good way to view cookie details for the current page: open the Storage Inspector in the developer tools panel. See:

This was one of the reasons why I used Firefox.. well no longer.

You can find a much better solution than plugins here.

Although I'm surprised how few browsers actually support this. Now that Firefox cookies are gone, I can see that...
