Thunderbird (Ubuntu Linux) claims to be able to free up 202 GB by compacting folders. My hard drive is <150GB. What's happening and can I safely click yes?

Normally I would just go through with compacting, but I'm afraid it might break something. My local directory in /home/username/.thunderbird/id.default/Mail/Local Folders is almost empty (<1MB), all my email accounts are IMAP set to download emails for offline use. The whole id.default folder is around 4GB - and there isn't enough space for 202GB on my hard drive anyway.

Soluție aleasă

Yes, there is a bug on the reporting that they are trying to figure out. The compact process still works though.
