When i search for an email using Thunderbird and i try to open it it's just white. No email shown. I can only see the preview on search result but can't open the email. Why? I remember this working on older versions.

Soluție aleasă

Possible reasons: The global database still holds a record of the headers, so it can be found in Search, but the email itself no longer exists hence it cannot open and display content.

If you know which folder contains the email, you could manually search for it. If it cannot be located, see if the index needs refreshing.

  • Right click on folder and select 'Properties'
  • click on 'Repair folder' button
  • click on 'OK'

I would suggest you repair the Global Database as it may be out of synch with what is actually available. Info on repairing the Global Datatbase: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/rebuilding-global-database
