When I start fire fox it takes sometime to open the panel for me to enter my master password. This did not seem a problem when I first set it up.

Hi, From your wording, I get the impression that you are expecting the master password prompt to appear at the time you first open Firefox. The master password prompt will only appear when Firefox needs to access your stored passwords. If you need further clarification, please let us know.

Note that you can open the Password Manager to get a prompt to enter the MP.

  • Options/Preferences -> Privacy & Security: Logins & Passwords: "Saved Logins"
