Why am I not able to "undelete" certain emails?
I occasionally am not able to undelete certain e-mails. I've tried a number of things including closing-reopening Thunderbird, re-starting computer, undeleting on my service provider email website (Bell Mail), without success. In all cases, Thunderbird does not move the e-mails in question from the Deleted Folder back to the Inbox. There are no real distinguishing features in any of the e-mails I've experienced this with. The reason that I'm concerned is that the latest such e-mail was deleted in error and required action. Fortunately I noticed it in the Deleted Folder by chance. The only way I was able to get it back in my Inbox was by forwarding it to myself. Have I missed something? Any ideas? Regards.

What is the setting for 'When I delete a message' in the Server Settings section of Tools/Account Settings? Also, are the Message Storage boxes unchecked? Also, if you delete a message, Edit/Undo (Ctrl+Z) will restore it. Any other messages in the Trash/Deleted Items folder can be moved back to the Inbox by drag and drop.

Thanx for the suggestions. Edit/Undo or drag and drop did not work but, while I was trying the above, I "discovered" the "move to" function by right-clicking on the e-mail. For whatever reason, the latter was the only thing that seemed to transfer the e-mail in question permanently. When I used other approaches, the e-mail in question would "disappear" in the Deleted Folder. However, when I returned to the Inbox to search for it, it was not there but, it did return/reappear in the Deleted Folder. In any event, your suggestion let me to a solution. Thanx for your time. Regards.
