Is it possible to change the drag and drop area size to the old one which was working only in the top part of the compose window?

When drag and drop works on the whole window size adding a link to the massage body is broken. When I try to drag and drop the selected text that contains the url from the firefox address bar, it gets added as an attachment instead of inserting the url text into the message body.
