When selecting messages, Thunderbird sometimes opens them instead of selecting them about a third to half the time. It's particularly troublesome when I want to completely delete a message instead of moving it to the Trash folder, because the double-click causes Thunderbird to delete that message plus the one beneath it.

I at first blamed my mouse, but a mouse click-detecting test fails to detect any double-clicks. And I don't see this behavior in any other apps.

Has anyone else encountered anything like this? Is there a fix?
