Cannot change home page to a url. ALL attempts result in Firefox ridiculoucly tyring to save a file called, "UpdateBrowser.rar"

After refresh to default, and home page is default Firefox. Home page opens to the defuult. Home page icon links to default. HOWEVER, it's iike the browser remembers the url that was attempted to be the home page, and the same ridiculous "UpdateBRowser.rar" keeps happening when that url is entered to go to! WTF is going on?

Try to scan it with Malwarebytes to be sure. See also about:third-party and look for suspicious libraries.

The Troubleshooting Information you provide shows that the homepage is set to:

browser.startup.homepage: https://www.blackagendareport.com/

You can check that those pages aren't set as multiple homepages.

You can check the homepage setting in "Settings -> Home".

Firefox supports multiple homepages separated by '|' (pipe) symbols.
