Been using firefox since it came out. Now on my phone i notice it doesnt record my full browsing history.

I'll be watching a video on youtube and occasionally accidentally close the tab to the video im watching. I go to open the history because "reopen closed tab" isnt an option on my phone and cant find the video i was just halfway through watching.

If i open my firefox history it shows only 3 videos under 'today' yet when going to youtube watch history it shows 7. Two of those 3 were the ones that autoplayed after i fell asleep.

I went to the second video on my youtube history and opened up firefox history and its still not there.

On Android, you should be able to reopen closed tabs, but this might not be easy to find. You can click the Tab icon on the toolbar and if necessary click "Jump back in -> Show all". On the page with the tab that opens, click its three-dot menu where you will find "Recently closed tabs".
