outlook needs password

I do not want the new outlook. I have still got 2 Microsoft accounts open. Actually 1 outlook and one "live". Some months ago I installed Thunderbird and imported the outlook and live addresses, a G-mail account and my TV supplier's propitiatory email address. All worked fine for several months. Yesterday Thunderbird would not allow the 2 Microsoft to open asking for passwords. I put in the passwords but was still blocked. All of the email accounts work fine on their own but will not work in Thunderbird.

Any suggestions, Garry

I am not very good at computers but after some time or trying to figure it out, I followed the hints of sfhowes posted 7/5/23. Went to server settings and set it as he posted and it now works. Thanks Garry
