Since upgrading to 3.6.12 when I go to load a page I get "Firefox can't find the server at......."Other browsers work

Every time I try to l0ad a page I get the "Firefox can't fine the server at www......" message. I've uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled but this made no difference. Other web browsers work and allow me to load the page.
