how can I get google to save my preference for 100 results per page

I want to keep 100 google search results and every time I save it as a preference it says 'saved' but only 10 results show up. This problem is newish but long term ( no time to investigate. ) I have windows 7 on this laptop.

You will need to turn off the instant search feature first. That setting is towards the bottom of the preferences page. Save that change first, then go back into the preferences and set it to 100 results.
