My firefox browser cannot be reopened anew browser without ending its process through task manager.

Whenever i close the browser, then later i decide to open a new one, i always get this prompt message: "Firefox is already running, but is not responding. To open a new window, you must first close the existing Firefox process, or restart your system." So i always have to end process it from the task manager before i can open a new browser. I'm worried that doing that process all the time will cause damage to my laptop. I'm using an HP mini laptop. What must i do to remedy this problem?

I have this problem too. With mine it doesn't show up in the task manager but I get the same error message. To avoid wasting the time needed to reboot I'm using IE. That still works. I prefer FF so Please FF Please solve this problem. I'll be watching my mail for an update.
