I am trying to enable java but I can't access the firefox settings? If I click on forefox logo it just takes me straight to last viewed page and if I right click it just shows menu bar for device.

You should install a more recent version of Firefox mobile 4.0 b7 is quite old. The preferences can be checked by panning to the right till the sidebar appears and clicking the Gear icon.
