firefox is not letting me add add-ons, it says there is an error.

hi, i found those steps from the mozilla site. none of them work. i went to privacy to check 'allow third party cookies' but i dont have that option in my privacy tab. i went to delete the extension.* files listed, but i dont have those files. i am using ff7 and my os is windows7 64bit. i have tried the download and then install option, when i do that ff says the file appears to be corrupted. please please pleaes help.

For Enabling Third-party Cookies:

  • click Firefox button and click Options (or File Menu -> Options)
  • Privacy tab -> History section -> under Firefox will: select Use Custom Setting for History
    • place Checkmark on Accept Cookies from Sites -> click Exceptions button -> select the websites which have status set to other than Allow and click Remove Site or click Remove All Sites button -> click Close button
    • place Checkmark on Accept Third-party Cookies from Sites
  • click OK on Options window
  • Restart Firefox

Check and tell if its working.

hi, my settings are already accepting cookies from sites. i also have accept 3rd party cookies. also i do not have any web pages listed in the exceptions section.
