Which aspx file gives the problem varies, according to whether I disable or enable Ubuntu Firefox modifications 1.0. With them enabled, the filename is blank/null. With them disabled there is a readable normal filename (e.g. security.aspx).

Soluție aleasă

That can be caused by website servers that do not recognize your Ubuntu branded user agent.

  • Mozilla/5.0 (Ubuntu; X11; Linux i686; rv:8.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/8.0

You can try to remove that part with the user agent switcher extension

  • Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:8.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/8.0

I hope you're still around.. This old lady downloaded the add-on and restarted Firefox. The files still are downloaded aspx. I change them to pdf and double click. That works for one but then when I try it again I get the spinning beach ball and have to relaunch the Finder.

Firefox 8.0.1 Lion 7 Site archives.com File newspaper article

Do I have to "run" the add-on???

Thanks, corel! It worked like a charm. I was having the same problem with www.coldwatercreek.com. This problem was interfering with my shopping. :-)

puppypat - go to Tools, select Default User Agent, change it to Internet Explorer 8, then try your url again.
