The version of Shockwave Flash is 11.1.102.62 . The white dot appears on sites that use flash objects. This happens the last 3 days. When I disable this add-on the dot disapperas but the flash object don't load.

Soluție aleasă

It could be that the Flash Player has a problem adjusting to the graphics card/drivers. It may disappear with the next Flash update. You can also try the Flash Player Forum, users may have reported similar problems.

No it doesn't happen on Safe mode.

Safe mode disables the installed Extensions and themes (Appearance) in Tools (Alt + T) > Add-ons. Hardware acceleration (Tools > Options > Advanced > General) is also disabled. You can try to isolate the cause starting with the extensions.

I 've already done it and I saw that Shockwave Flash causes this problem.

You can try right-clicking on a Flash video, click the left end icon and deselect Enable hardware acceleration. Can you also post a screenshot: Add images: Browse below Post a Reply on this page.

I disabled the hardware acceleration but the dot is still there. You can see it on the left side inside the circle.

That looks like a dead pixel on the LCD. Nothing to worry though. It is a common phenomenon and would only appear on very dark visuals.

That is what I thought at first. But it isn't a dead pixel. I told you that when I disable Shockwave flash the dot disappears. And I have tested it on a second monitor as well...

Ok. I 'll just wait for an update. I think the problem exists since the last update of Mozilla and Windows 7 (same day). Thank you anyway.

No problem. You can check with the Flash Player forums in the meantime. There could be a solution.
