I am using Firefox 13 on my mac. When I go to youtube large ads appear on the left and right side and block the video. You can not close out the ads.

Ads also appear in Facebook. The problem does not happen when I am using Safari. I have uninstalled and re-installed Firefox. I have never had this problem with Firefox.

Might be caused by an add-on. Can you go through your list of add-ons and disable everything non-essential, then restart Firefox and check again.

Tools > Add-ons > Plugins
Tools > Add-ons > Extensions
