When I sign on the the first entry screen, I type in the web site I want to go to. Before I finish typing the web site name, there is a list at the bottom with "suggestions" on what I had typed in before. That is not wanted. How do I remove the "reminder listing" from the bottom of the entry screen?

hello, i'm not exactly sure what you're referring to by "the entry screen" - you can switch off suggestions for the location bar in the bottom section of firefox/tools > options > privacy & for the search bar by right-clicking it and disabling them.

Just to clarify, the place where you type in web addresses you want to visit is called the "Location Bar", also known as the address bar or "Awesome Bar". Is that where you are getting unwanted suggestions?

Like madperson wrote on Nov 19, (right after you posted your question), you can turn off Location Bar suggestions from the Firefox Tools -> Options -> Privacy panel, under Location Bar (by changing "History and Bookmarks" to Nothing" in the drop-down menu). See Settings for privacy, browsing history and do-not-track and Location Bar autocomplete for more information.

There's also an autocomplete a Search suggestions feature in the Search Bar but I don't think you meant that, did you?

If you meant something else or need more help, please explain.

Use these steps to remove saved (form) data from a drop down list:

  1. Click the (empty) input field on the web page to open the drop down list
  2. Highlight an entry in the drop down list
  3. Press the Delete key (on Mac: Shift+Delete) to remove it.
