Soluție aleasă

hello, mrbell86, try this in order to set your own custom new-tab-page: enter about:config into the firefox address bar (confirm the info message in case it shows up) & search for the preference named browser.newtab.url. double-click it and change its value to www.google.com, or any other url you'd like to set.

Note that you won't get the cursor on the Google page if you change the New Tab url, but in the location bar.
