Unreadable dropdown boxes in Thunderbird requiring changes to AMD Radeon Graphics Card, should not be considered a permanent solution for Thunderbird?
As per citied issue and solution < https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1042594 >. This fix works but requires changes to the PC's graphics card, resulting in a user's PC having settings that are not for optimal graphics performance. Thus this solution should not be considered a permanent solution. Will Mozilla be sorting this issue properly in the near future?

New video drivers fix the issue. But seriously hardware acceleration is of no real use in email. It is good for viewing videos, and gaming. But to render a jpeg file it makes no appreciable difference.
No One in the Thunderbird team would have turned acceleration on by default, it was only that it was done by the Firefox people that it happened at all.

Gooday,
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1042594 merely suggests using current version of device drivers. How does this impact graphics performance?
What performance improvement have you measured?
