Using the current version of Thunderbird at work on Windows 10. Everything prints normally except some emails. Specifically email I get from Lowes for receipts. I can't print these out. The preview pane it looks fine, but when you either print preview or print, it has blank pages, tiny snippets of some of the information.

I forwarded one of these to my personal gmail, and it will print normally there. But I can't do that for all our emails at work.

I tried using the config editor, from my own google research, and reset the print_printer. No luck there. Played with fit to screen, scale sizes and portrait/landscape. No luck there either.

I did save the email as an HTML doc and was able to open that and print it that way, but that is a pain to do.

If anyone has some ideas, it would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Have you tried using the Microsoft PDF printer to print to PDF?

While that is not a solution, if it works, then you know the problem is most likely with a printer driver, not Thunderbird. I am guessing that the email/HTML is complex and contains a lot of graphics. This can be a problem for cheap printers that lack memory and busy network devices that may have limited memory per job.

Strange, I tried printing to the Microsoft PDF and its the same.

If I print on the same computer from my personal Gmail, it works. So I know this printer can do it. Very odd.

Could you forward the receipt email to me as an attachment to matt_au at gmx.com. I think I need to have a look at the source and see if there is something wonky or some sort of reason I can find.

The forward button has a down arrow beside it, use that to access the forward as attachment option.

Sent you two forwards. Didn't know I could add forward as an attachment until I hit send. So I send you both versions.

Appreciate the help.

Well, I guess it didn't send as an attachment. Got the error:

"This message has been rejected because it has

a potentially executable attachment "Your Lowe's Purchase Receipt.eml"
This form of attachment has been used by
   recent viruses or other malware.
If you meant to send this file then please
package it up as a zip file and resend it."

I can send it in a rar or zip if you'd like. Just let me know.

Thank you.

Hello,

I believe that since the recent Windows 10 update I can no longer print any e-mails, will there be an update, fix or solution soon.

Many thanks.

Steven.
