Is ThunderBird dead , NO SUPPORT ?

The lack of response is probably because no one else has experienced it. I, for one, haven't, but then I'm not a heavy user of live.com email.

If it were a widespread phenomenon, i think we'd have more complaints about it here.

What antivirus/antispam tools do you use?

Yes it is a widespread issue with live. but only with pop mail accounts and only if you have the setting on live to move mail to the pop folder when Thunderbird issues the delete command.

Go right ahead and use other software. You will experience exactly the same issue with Hotmail's defective service.

Windows 10 uses IMAP. Microsoft do not want you to use POP as that reduces their chances for advertising revenue, and your dependence on their web services. Ipso Facto their POP service is defective. IMHO completely by design as the problem has been around since the release of Windows 10 really.

Thanks Matt , <<Yes it is a widespread issue with live. but only with pop mail accounts and only if you have the setting on live to move mail to the pop folder when Thunderbird issues the delete command. >>

How would I change "the setting on live to move mail to the pop folder when Thunderbird issues the delete command" ? Can I tell win 10 to use IMAP instead of pop ? Thanks
