My computer crashed and I'm trying to start installing my old bookmarks on the new computer. I can't list bookmarks in the left margin as I did with my old computer. It used to give you that option but no longer. Further, I can't list any more then a few bookmarks on the upper horizontal toolbar. What am I missing?

The upper horizontal toolbar is called the Bookmarks Toolbar. The bookmarks in the left margin is called the Side Bar. <Control> B


Please explain the problem in detail. What happens? What is/are the exact error message(s) ?

Hold down the <Control> button and press B.


If there is a problem, Start Firefox using Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode {web link}

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?
