Why is Firefox not loading any page suddenly?
A week or two ago I began having problems when trying to start firefox up after turning on my computer. It would not load my startup page at all, just a new tab and when I tried loading a website on that, it would not go through. I uninstalled and reinstalled and everything began working again. However, today the issue has started up again. I shut down my computer normally last night with firefox working but tonight when I turned it back on, no startup page and while pages I normally visit are in the search bar, it will not load them. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling again but the issue remains. My chrome browser is fine, and I know its not my antivirus. Is this an update issue? I am on an older laptop.

Hi, if your on a older laptop it might be best to switch to the Extended Release Version.
Firefox ESR does not come with the latest features but it has the latest security and stability fixes.
If do please :

As for not being your Antivirus Firewall it could be a issue if it is one of these : Avast/AVG, Kaspersky, BitDefender, ESET sometimes McAfee
Since it is having problems starting up and also loading please give your self a scan : https://www.malwarebytes.com/
So if moving to the esr using a New Profile and your Bookmarks that may solve the issue if it was the Profile.
Let us know what you decided or how it works out.
I just happened to look more thoroughly at what updated last night and what I didn't know was my Avira Antivirus updated right before I signed off last night which may explain this latest issue. I have the free version of Avira so I'm not sure what to do other than a system restore to the point before it updated. Is that an option to attempt or this anything else I should do?
