After last update, we can not see the attached pdf files quickly. It takes much more time than before. In this case we believe you will solve this problem as soon as possible.

preferences search for action.

In the file type list select the PDF and change it from preview in Thunderbird to your choice of application. Now as it is the same as before I assume it is as fast as before.
