How can i import all of my emails from my Outlook Web Access client- thunderbird only has regular outlook and will not import any of my Outlook Web Access mail

I use Outlook Web Access as my mail client. Have tried to import my Web Access email to Thunderbird but it will not import - only gives std outlook and outlook express , no web access. What do i do to get my mail imported over to thunderbird?

Outlook Web Access gives you access to your mail on an Exchange Server.

In some cases, the Exchange administrator will provide IMAP access (similar to how Thunderbird accesses Gmail) so that you can read your mail in most mail clients. Try asking about that.

However, if the Exchange administrator only allows access through Exchange ActiveSync or another proprietary protocol, that is not built-in to Thunderbird. There is a non-free add-on which lets you connect to Exchange from Thunderbird. Please see this recent thread for more information: How do I add an exchange account?
